We’re getting ready for MECSPE

If you follow this blog, you’ll know that at the last trade fair in Germany, I discovered that an improvised competitor had copied part of my machine.
It went like this: as I was walking around the fair before it opened to the public, I saw that my improvised competitor had an enormous poster of a copy of my machine on display at his stand.

The scoundrel had stolen one of my ideas

At first I was surprised
then really angry
[space]
I’m curious to see if there will be more of the same kind of surprises this time.
But let’s talk about the trade fair.
I have always worked in Italy.
Eight years ago, we realised that Italy was no longer enough for us.
We wanted to do more; introduce our machines to the rest of the world.
We invested in the commercial network, in trade fairs, and we began selling in other parts of the world.

BUT THERE’S A PROBLEM!

As the years pass, we realise that we have done less and less for our beloved ITALY.

We have concentrated on building our international
customer base and put home in second place.

So we have decided to participate in a trade fair in Italy.

For our home-coming I have chosen … MECSPE!

MECSPE is a multi-sector trade fair that will be held in Parma from March 17th to 19th.
Each year the trade fair sees an increase in exhibitors and visitors.
Parma is an extremely interesting industrial centre, home to many different types of industry.
Everyone says that MECSPE facilitates interaction between the various sectors; that it is the new “shop” for Industry 4.0.
Although I can honestly say that it has an old-fashioned feel about it.
But that’s what makes it’s interesting.
It’s a trade fair where you can find sub-suppliers, mouldmakers, machine tool manufacturers, components for automation, shelving units …
It’s really interesting because in an area of just a few metres, divided by sector, you can find everything that you need for your business.
You can find thousands of interesting ideas.
This is why more and more people are interested in attending each year.
We could bring a stand and a TV, like lots of them do. Just to be there.
